​Graduation is a momentous event in any student’s life. After years of hard work and dedicated commitment, graduation is an opportunity to celebrate the achievement of an academic award with colleagues, family, and friends. It is the acknowledgment of a great deal of personal sacrifice and the sacrifice and support of family and friends.

​

Every student who completed their studies during 2024 and has been confirmed as eligible to graduate by the Academic Board receives an invitation to attend their 2025 Graduation Ceremony.​

Some students login include reference to their College or Institute. Please refer to your graduation registration reminders for your unique login details.

 

​Graduate students are allocated to the Graduation Ceremony based in the state they studied. If you have moved and would like to attend at another of ECA Higher Education’s ceremony locations, please lodge an enquiry with Student Services before you register.

After completing your registration and making payment if you do not receive a confirmation email within 5 hours, please lodge an enquiry with Student Services.

Registration closes on Friday 20 June 2025.

Students must register to attend the Graduation Ceremony.​ Students who elect to defer and attend in 2026, or don’t want to attend will graduate in absentia, which means the award/qualification is conferred without being physically present at your official graduation ceremony. Students who graduate in absentia are able to collect their Testamur/Award the week following graduation from Student Services on campus.

 

The ECA Graduation Ceremony Portal is used to RSVP your attendance, and for students who wish to attend provide measurements for the hire your academic regalia and make payment for your graduation ceremony package fee. Payment must be made online only by credit card (Visa or Mastercard) via the Graduation Ceremony Portal during the assigned registration period.​

Academic Regalia

Graduands are required to wear full academic dress/regalia at their graduation ceremony. The hire of your academic regalia is included in the Graduation Ceremony Fee. When you register you will be asked to select your measurements in centimetres (cms) from drop down listings, please ensure you provide accurate measurements to ensure your regalia fits best. Refer to the below guides.

Academic regalia must be returned before leaving the venue following the ceremony, students are liable for any damage of or loss of the hired academic regalia.

Your Guests

Your graduation ceremony fee includes up to two guest tickets. â€‹Children under 5 do not require a ticket and must be always supervised. 

 

After you complete your registration and make payment, you will receive an email providing payment and order confirmation from the Graduation Registration Portal. Attached to the email will be guest tickets for your selected included guests. The name that appears above a guest ticket will be your name, so you can transfer a guest ticket to another person if your original guest/s are unable to attend on the day of your ceremony.

Offshore Guest

Invitation Letters

Invitation Letters for Offshore GuestsIf any of your 2 included guests are Offshore and require an invitation letter for visa application purposes, you can request this when you register. Names and passport numbers must be accurately entered along with your relationship to the person (mother, father, brother, sister, grandparent, friend etc).

If one of your included guests is Offshore and requires an invitation letter and your second guest is Onshore and does not require the letter you need to enter the name of your Onshore guest and select No to the invitation letter.

The Graduation Registration Portal does not automatically generate Invitation letters. Should you request an invitation letter Student Services will generate your letter and send it as soon as possible, we thank you in advance for your patience with the manual process.

Additional Quest Tickets

If the capacity of the venue allows, there may be a limited release of additional guest tickets. Additional guest tickets are not part of your Graduation Ceremony fee and are charged at a fee of AUD 45.00 each. Notification of the release of additional guest tickets will be informed by email.

Graduation Ceremony Fee

The cost of your graduation ceremony package is AUD 220.00 per graduate. â€‹Your Graduation Package includes:

  • Academic dress hire (gown, stole/hood and trencher cap (hat)).

  • Your studio portrait session on graduation day including one high-resolution digital file.

  • Your on-stage presentation image as a high-resolution digital file.

  • Tickets for yourself and up to two (2) guests to attend your graduation ceremony.

  • A copy of the graduation booklet which lists all graduates.

  • Light refreshments for you and your guests following your ceremony.

 

You will receive an email to select your one free studio digital image and your one free presentation digital image online and Graduation Photography Services will email link/s to download your images link within 3 business days.

Payment of your graduation ceremony fee is required at the time of registration and is payable by Visa or Mastercard debit/credit card.​​

Graduation Proceedings

9:00am: Registration and gowning opens. 
10:50am: Graduand Seating
11:10am: Pre-ceremony briefing/rehearsal
11:30am: Graduation Ceremony Commences
1:00pm: Academic Recession and Ceremony Close
1:00pm: Light Refreshments for Graduates and Guests
2:00pm: Return of Academic Regalia
3:00pm: End of Graduation

 

NOTE:

  • Graduand Registration and gowning opens at 9.00am and will close 10.30am SHARP. 

  • Late arrivals WILL NOT be allowed to register or be gowned after 10.30am. 

  • Students MUST be seating at 10.50am for the pre-ceremony briefing.
